Residential living room with layered decorative lighting

Lighting design

Light that gives each room its time of day.

Lighting is part of the architecture, but it is also part of a daily rhythm. A room should support concentration in the morning, conversation in the evening and quiet when the day is over.

Layers with a purpose

Ambient, task and decorative light each have a role. We compose them around furniture plans, artwork, materials and the way natural light moves through the building.

Controls are planned to make the result simple to use. The most sophisticated scene should still feel effortless.

Light reveals material

Stone, timber, metal and textile respond differently to colour temperature and direction. Testing those relationships protects the depth and warmth of the final palette.

We coordinate closely with architects, specialist lighting consultants and electrical teams from concept to focusing.
